Bulk Puller

  • Receive customer orders
  • Pull the orders and pack them using electric pallet jacks when necessary
    • Print Invoice
    • Pull product from designated shelves
    • Place product appropriately on pallets
    • Place pallets in staging area for palletizers
    • Always make sure your area is clean and organized.
  • Ensure your area is kept clean and orderly.

Writer/Editor

Here at Azure we're committed to helping you, our customers, find good information about healthy living so you can make educated food and lifestyle choices. We want to provide you with vital truths, helpful instructions, paths to more information, and an honest look at how to care for our bodies, our soil, and our planet. To truly convey all we want to share with you, we need someone who is an excellent writer/editor to join our team.

We have a new full time position available to write and edit original content for our publications, website and social media. This position is responsible for maintaining a daily online blog plus frequent website articles in the many categories relevant to our customers. Articles will focus on the benefits of eating healthy, organic foods with an understanding of quality nutrition, organic farming and a sustainable lifestyle. These educational articles will be on topics that align with Azure's Core Values.

This position will work with our product vendors to publish their unique story and highlight the products they offer while giving our customers deeper explanations on why Azure has chosen these products. Specific duties require working with various division managers at Azure Standard, Azure Farm and Azure Husbandry to ensure the vast amount of knowledge in Azure is shared with our customers.

Although these full time duties may be performed offsite in a "remote" working environment, monthly meetings are required in Dufur, Oregon to coordinate efforts with the Azure team. We're flexible regarding this arrangement but we like to maintain close, daily contact via telecommunications, Skype and other platforms.

Requirements for this position include excellent creative writing skills, outstanding grammar and punctuation and proven practices for publishing informative articles. The right candidate will have skills to generate original content as well as coordinate content by multiple authors and a commitment to meeting deadlines. They'll be expected to work with various Azure contributors from the farm and staff, editing content to maintain the author's voice, while making the story good for publication. This position also requires competence using current versions of Microsoft Word and Publisher, PC operations, website administration tools, blog platforms and other social media.

Freezer Puller

Location: Moro Warehouse. Full time. $12/hour Starting Pay.

Must Have Qualities

 Freezer Puller:

  • Receive customer orders.

    • Pull product from designated shelves
    • Pack appropriately in boxes
    • Place boxes in staging area for palletizers
    • Ensure your area stays clean and organized.

 *This position is located in the freezer. There are freezer suites available for employees as well as protective gloves.

Employment Requirements:

  • Previous Freezer experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lb. regularly


Customer Service Representative!

Location: Dufur Call Center. Full time. $12/hour Starting Pay.

 Customer Service Rep Responsibilities:

  • Full time answering calls in the queue with periodic breaks and lunch.
  • Has knowledge of products available for customer purchase
  • Reviews and respond to voice mail messages
  • Enter faxed-in orders into the purchasing system
  • Reviews and resolves customer inquiries received by email
  • Communicates to operations as appropriate for special orders
  • Performs basic account maintenance activities, including setting up new customers in the system, changing address and personal information
  • Provides excellent customer service to all customers at all times
  • Enters customer credits and debits based on company guidelines
  • Works on the PC based computer, custom ordering system, email and Internet

Employment Requirements:

Crop Management Assistant!

Compensation is DOE + Sustainable Agricultural education. Primary Location: Dufur Farm

The successful individual will have a strong interest in utilizing sustainable agriculture techniques to forge a career path.  The day to day responsibilities of the Crop Management Assistant are to support Azure’s Agriculture Management team in the effective production of high quality crops.   Azure’s management team will provide direction, materials; resources, education, guidance, instruction & logistics.  The Crop Management Assistant will act in a hands-on capacity to carry out the day to day needs of the site, perform assigned tasks by the management team, and perform time-sensitive crop maintenance procedures.

The successful candidate will have basic experience in organic gardening and a desire to grow their skillset to become a valuable part of Azure’s agriculture team.  Some training will be provided, but self-motivation, problem solving capabilities, clear communication skills, diligence, and attention to detail are all essential.  The prospective employee should view this as essentially a paid internship position for the first 6 months-1 year, with advancement into other responsibilities within azure provided successful performance.

Responsibilities

  • Follow directions of Azure’s Agriculture Management team
  • Assist and manage weekly harvest & marketing efforts
  • Plant, weed, water, fertilize & maintain plants being grown
  • Provide verbal and written updates of site to Azure’s Management team
  • Provide site upkeep, maintenance, repairs, materials need lists

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year minimum of Organic Market Gardening experience.
  • Independent self starter  & ability to follow directions
  • Ability to communicate effectively & ask questions
  • Basic carpentry, metalwork, use of hand and power tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Irrigation, disease identification, weed management & pest management
  • Desire to make a significant impact in sustainable agriculture
  • Experience in metalworking/welding/mechanics
