Ordering



There are many ways to order from us. However, we highly recommend using our website because it makes it easier for you... and us too!

ORDER FROM OUR WEBSITE: All orders below our $40.00 minimum are subject to a small order handling fee of up to $5.00. Please make sure all orders are over $40.00 when placed on our website. (Please note our minimum order requirements under Minimum Orders). Make sure to take full advantage of the special feature on our website: the Favorites List.

ORDER BY PHONE: Tell the person answering the phone that you want to place an order. You will then be asked for your customer account number (or last name) and the person/place where your order is to be delivered. If you are a first-time buyer, let the order taker know so that we can set up an account for you in our computer system. (Please note our minimum order requirements under Minimum Orders).

As a general rule, phone in your order AT LEAST THREE (3) working days before our scheduled route departure date. (More specific deadline dates and times are listed in our Schedule of Deliveries - CT004.) This same schedule applies to additions/deletions to orders already placed. If you don't have a schedule for your route(s) for the current year, please ask for one.

ORDER BY FAX: Please make sure that you place your complete name, customer account number, address, and phone number (in case something goes wrong) on your faxed orders. Also include the name of the person/place where your order is to be delivered. Be sure to write your order in dark pen and large enough so it is easily readable. Blank order forms have been provided for your convenience at the back of our catalogs (feel free to photo-copy them and use them every time you order) or use the same format for orders when not using the form provided. If you type your order using a computer, please make sure the font size is large enough so it is easily readable.
If you are new at Faxing or in any way unsure of how to Fax an order - please call us and we will help you. It is a good idea to call us for a quick confirmation that your Fax was received. Our fax number is: 541-467-2210.

Please fax your order to us AT LEAST THREE (3) working days before our scheduled route departure date. (More Specific deadline dates and times are listed in our Schedule of Deliveries - CT004.) This same schedule applies to additions/deletions to orders already placed. If you don't have a schedule for your route(s) for the current year, please ask for one.

ORDER BY MAIL: Please include your name, customer account number, address, phone number, and the person/place where your order is to be delivered. Please write legibly, or type if possible, large enough so that it is easily readable. Items not written clearly with correct numbers and description will be left off the order. Use the blank order form in our catalogs (feel free to photo-copy it and use it every time you order) or make sure to use the same format for orders when not using the form provided. Please allow AT LEAST SIX (6) working days for your order to reach us by mail. We must receive it AT LEAST FOUR (4) working days prior to our scheduled route departure date. If you don't have a schedule for your route(s) for the current year, please ask for one.

Pricing



We strive to offer you the best prices we can by passing on lower prices whenever possible. You will get the best possible prices from us since we operate on a cost-plus basis. (If our cost goes down, so does yours. Conversely, if our cost goes up, so does yours.)

All prices in our printed catalogs are subject to change without notice since our food costs often change daily. We will not be responsible to call and inform you of price changes. You may call for current prices.

Prices indicated on the website are also subject to change. We strive to keep the prices up-to-date and current on our website, but at times a price may change between what you see on the screen and the price on your invoice.

Payment Options



We accept cash, checks, money orders, and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and Discover). We do not accept food stamps nor coupons. Checks returned for insufficient funds are subject to an additional $20.00 service charge. All items will be paid for when delivered, unless you have approved credit with us. All credit accounts are net 10 days. Service will be discontinued if any invoices are over 30 days past due. A billing service charge of $5.00 per month will be added to accounts due past 30 days.

In order that your account be properly credited when we receive your payment, please note all adjustments (if any) on a note enclosed with your check. Please be sure to write your invoice number on your check or include it on a note with your check. Please pay with one check for your invoice, unless prior authorization is made at the office. All orders being delivered by barge to Alaska or Hawaii must be pre-paid unless prior authorization is made.

Product Returns



We will gladly give full credit for any missing or damaged goods in your order. You must report items you wish to return to us within three (3) working days of the delivery of your order. (Any insect contamination may be reported within seven (7) days after receiving product). You may do this by calling us with your name, the invoice number, and nature of the problem. Or you can e-mail us.

Any return for a reason other than being damaged or a miss-sent item is subject to a 10% restocking fee deducted from credit allowed for said item. At the time you report an item you wish to return, you will be given a Product Return Authorization Number. All returns must be returned to us in a timely fashion, and in resaleable condition (damaged goods are an exception.)

No returns will be accepted,
  1. 1) without the item(s) being carefully boxed or packaged to ensure a safe return home, and
  2. 2) without the Product Return Authorization Number being clearly printed, and attached to said package. All returned items must be in their original package/container. All damaged products must be returned to us in order for you to obtain a credit on your account.

As a rule do not deduct off your current invoice the cost of an item you plan to return in the future. Such discrepancies between checks and amount due on invoices can lead to billing problems if arrangements are not made with the office.

Minimum Orders



UPS/USPS DELIVERY: The minimum for orders shipped by UPS or USPS is $40.00. If you choose to order less than $40.00, we will still ship your order but will place a small order handling fee of not more than $2.50 on your invoice. (Please note that this fee will not be applied if an item is out-of-stock, making your order total drop below $40.00. And the $40.00 minimum is for goods ordered, not for shipping costs.) For example, if you order $30.00 worth of goods, your total will be $32.50 plus shipping. If you order $39.00 worth of goods, your total will be $40.00 plus shipping. (Notice that the small order handling fee is whatever it takes to get to the $40.00 minimum, but is never more than a $2.50 fee.)

Please note that this is for UPS and US Postal Service orders only. Do not confuse this with truck delivery minimums. Truck delivery route orders have their own set of minimums per order and per delivery location with their own small-order and short-drop fees. See below.

TRUCK DELIVERY: For a delivery to a specific drop point within three miles of our scheduled routes, the minimum order (for free shipping) is $400. This amount may be made up of individual orders, but each order must total $40or more. If your order totals less than $40(for phoned, faxed, mailed-in orders or website orders) there will be a $5.00 handling fee added to the order.

Deliveries off our scheduled routes are subject to an additional minimum order requirement based on distance from the route. Beyond three miles the minimum order goes up by$65 per mile. (Example: 4 miles off route = minimum order $465). If you wish to drive to within three miles of the scheduled route, the driver can meet you at an arranged location. You can call us or e-mail us for more specific information or with questions not addressed here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We do not use a backorder system. Therefore, you will need to reorder any out-of-stocked items on your next full order. (The minimum order must be met each time.)

Deliveries



UPS DELIVERY: We ship all across the United States, and around the world (with special arrangements). Areas which do not receive UPS shipments (such as Alaska) can receive their goods by U.S. Mail.

TRUCK DELIVERY: We offer free delivery to buying clubs and individuals along the regular delivery routes (please see our listed minimums), including:
  • Hwy. 101 along the Oregon Coast and south to Crescent City, CA
  • I-5 corridor from Seattle, WA to Redding, CA, then south on Hwy. 99 to San Diego.
  • Hwy 97 from Ashland, OR to Yakima, WA.
  • I-84 from Portland, OR to Twin Falls, ID
  • I-90 from Ellensburg, WA to Missoula, MT and on east to North Dakota and Minnesota (** see note below)
  • I-80 from Evanston, WY to Des Moines, IA and north into Minnesota (** see note below)
  • Hwy. 95 from Lewiston, ID to Bonners Ferry, ID and from there over to Kalispell and area down to Missoula, MT.
  • Colville & Newport, WA areas and North Central Washington.
  • Areas of Western Nevada along US 95.

Please call 1-541-467-2230 for schedule and route information pertaining to your location. Orders off our scheduled routes are subject to an additional minimum order requirement based on distance from route. (**North Dakota, Minnesota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa deliveries, and deliveries east of Missoula, MT have fuel/delivery charge because of the long distance. UPS & Common Carriers

We will ship to locations other than our scheduled routes via barge, common carrier, or UPS. For these means of delivery all shipping costs will be added to your order. Please call for further details.

We do our best to ship quality produce to Alaska and Hawaii, but due to unknown conditions at the barge lines, we cannot guarantee the quality on arrival. Also the quality of Cold or Frozen items is not guaranteed on orders shipped UPS. The above mentioned items are shipped to you on an at-your-own-risk basis.


Other Policies


We close for four one-week annual vacations during the year... (see Schedule of Deliveries - CT004 for details - it's free!)
  • Spring Vacation: around April/May
  • Independence Day Vacation: around July 4th
  • Fall Vacation: around September/October
  • Winter Inventory: around Christmas/New Year's Day

• Please note that we deliver in a four-week cycle so orders are not always delivered at a predictable time such as “the first Monday of the month.” That doesn’t work if there happen to be five Mondays in a month, or if we take a vacation as listed above.

• The approximate delivery days (listed in our Schedule of Deliveries) are subject to change at any time due to order volume, road conditions, etc.

Fax and website order deadlines: Please send fax orders before noon of your deadline day; send website orders before the 4:00 PM deadline (3:00 PM for customers on Route C and any other deadlines that occur on Friday). Thank you!
