For the month of December we are transitioning our bi-monthly sales flyer due to numerous amounts of requests from our vendors to change the flow. This change is in order to eliminate a need for promotions to extend past the end of fiscal year. We have heard our vendor’s concerns, and now is the time to seize the day! We are happy to announce that beginning this January; we will be rotating our flyer on a new bi-monthly schedule beginning with a January/February publication instead of the usual December/January issue. In order for Azure Standard to get on track with this change we would like you to know that we will not be offering a printed sales flyer sheet to include December.
Look for the link for December Sales. Coming Soon!

Check our our new "DA" (Dairy Alternatives) Category!
DA = Dairy Alternatives!
In a nutshell:
• The new SoDelicious cultured coconut milk products have "DA" item codes.
• Our website and your invoices now show new "DA" item codes for many of the non-dairy & non-soy dairy alternatives which previously had "SP" item codes.
• Beginning in the Winter ‘08-’09 catalog (due out in December 2008) the non-dairy & non-soy dairy alternatives will be listed under the new heading of "DA". (Soy milk, soy cheeses, soy meat-analogs will continue to be listed in the SP section.)
The transition should be seamless since our computer will continue to recognize the old "SP" numbers and automatically convert them to the new "DA" numbers.
Why the change to "DA"?
With the introduction this month of SoDelicious brand cultured coconut milk products, the time has come to create a special category just for Dairy Alternatives. SoDelicious Cultured Coconut Milk is very much like dairy-based yogurt. Yet, it’s not dairy, so we shouldn’t include it under the "DP" (Dairy Product) category. Most other dairy alternatives are currently listed in the "SP" (Soy Product) category, but this product is soy-free, so the "SP" category isn’t appropriate either.
So, taking a step that’s been needed for a long time, we’re moving all non-soy dairy-alternative products out of the "SP" section and into the newly created "DA" section. This means Almond, Rice, Oat, Hazelnut and Hemp milks along with Rice and Almond-based cheeses will all be moved to the "DA" section. Soy milks, soy-based cheeses, and soy meat-analogs will remain in the "SP" (Soy Products) section.
We hope this change will help improve your shopping experience and encourage you to take another look at the dairy alternatives you may never have noticed because they were in the "SP" (Soy Products) section. With so many non-soy products now available for those who can’t tolerate soy, a separate listing dedicated to Dairy Alternatives is something whose time has come!

~ Drop Point and Individual Orders ~
Minimum Order Amounts
will increase
August 1, 2008
|
Beginning August 1, 2008 the following minimum order amounts will be required:
Drop Points*: $550.00 (total of all smaller orders combined)
* Please see our Schedule of Deliveries or Policies for other drop point requirements, especially regarding deliveries to be made more the 3 miles off of the designated route.
Each Order: $50.00
Although we understand that this increase in our minimum order amounts may seem like a hardship during these economically difficult times, please keep in mind that several factors are involved which have prompted us to make this change.
First, fuel prices are rising quickly, and we would like to avoid adding a fuel surcharge to each order if we can possibly help it. Secondly, $400 (the old minimum) just doesn’t buy as much as it did 5 years ago (due to inflation and devaluation of the dollar). This has resulted in the truck drivers making more deliveries (with fewer goods) even though the drop point minimums have been met. In order to streamline our delivery routes and keep the driver on schedule, each stop along the route needs to be wholly worth while (perhaps a certain amount of drop-consolidation would help also).
It’s exciting to see more folks turning to organic and sustainable foods and supplies these days. This is one way to help ensure the higher order minimums are met… buy all of your healthful products from us (we try to offer a wide range of products besides food), and then tell your friends so they can start enjoying a healthier lifestyle too.
This change in minimums is simply an adjustment for our current economic times. We’re happy to be able to supply you with good food and healthful products. Thank you for buying from us! |

Come and join us the first Saturday in September!
To help realize Azure’s vision of supporting and converting to clean healthy energy sources, we are sponsoring, DAVID BLUME, author of Alcohol Can Be A Gas.
He will be breaking all the myths about ethanol, by presenting a fascinating approach to bring fuel and energy independence on an individual, community and national scale. And, in a manner that enhances the quality and quantity of the nation’s food supply.
As a permaculturist and organic farmer, his passion is to seamlessly weave the waste of one process to be the fuel or fertilizer of another. The result: only valuable, healthy products entering the environment. He will show us how that by setting it up correctly, ethanol actually becomes one of the least valuable of all the products produced.
Azure would like to open to our community and customers, the opportunity to hear and talk with the country’s leading expert on the subject of small to medium scale ethanol production.
The meeting will be on Azure Farm in Dufur, September 6th from 3:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.
Just so we get an idea how many people to prepare for, please RSVP To:

After unanticipated high demand for the book Vaccination Deception [BK247] which was mentioned in our June/July article, "So Where Do We Go From Here?", we were temporarily out of stock. But, it’s here now! If you were out-of-stocked on your order in the last few weeks, we encourage you to please try reordering the book — it really is an important issue. And particularly so as the new school year begins.

Shipping & Delivery of
Cold/Refrigerated Items:
• Cold items are packed with the dry goods when delivered by truck on one of our routes.
• The word "CHILL" appears on the shipping label of each box that contains a refrigerated item, and a brightly colored sticker may alert you as well.
• At time of delivery, care should be taken to either put the entire box in a refrigerator, or open and remove the cold items and put them in a refrigerator.
• If you are unable to pick up your order from the delivery location quickly, you should be sure to work out details with the person in charge of your drop point.
• All dry items (including books, health appliances, plant starts — everything) are refrigerated on the delivery trucks along with the aforementioned cold items.
• Currently, due to warehouse issues, we are not able to grant your requests to pack the cold items separately from the dry goods for your drop. If your drop must have it’s cold items packed separately in their own boxes, the best alternative is to put all of your cold items on one separate order (making sure that each order for cold items meets the Minimum Order requirements as outlined in our Policies).
• If you as an individual customer will not be able to handle having your cold items packed with the dry goods, please request on each order that we pack your cold items separately from the dry items and we will make every effort to accommodate you. Keep in mind that the more cold items you order to be packed together, the easier it will be for us to pack them separately from the dry items.
